Weight isn’t something that I really need to lose, however I was more interested in the detox benefits of fasting for my body. I did the fast away from home while on a meditation retreat which was probably a good idea as there was no temptation of food around me which made the desire to give in and eat much less.

Miessence Fast Weight Loss: The Benefits of Fasting
There is an absolute plethora of different ways to lose weight out there, and Western society really forgets how natural and normal fasting is for the body. The fastest way to lose weight is to NOT EAT (safely and carefully of course) and so to do this in a way combined with your body getting still exactly what it needs is very effective (as I just found out). Some people say to be careful not to binge after a fast, as you’ll pack the weight back on, and if you gorge pizza and beer after a 3 day fast, obviously this is not a good plan (nor ever). After your fast you really have the perfect opportunity to CHANGE YOUR HABITS – delight your taste buds with some delicious raw organic salads for example. I promise after not eating for 3 days it will be the most delicious thing you have ever tasted – beautiful amazing flavours exploding in your mouth! 🙂 To keep the weight off after your fast, also try eating smaller meals forever. Also learn how to replace those hunger pang strikes and sugar cravings with a big glass of water (try to drink at least 2 litres a day if you can) as this is what your body really wants. And of course exercise.
My Miessence Fast Journey.
Day 1: I took my Miessence Fast in the morning which was fine. I felt a little hungry by lunch so started drinking water to get control of it. The meditation centre was a calm and peaceful place to do the fast and I wasn’t really disturbed. Amazingly by the end of Day 1, I didn’t feel hungry! I did at first during the start of the day but I kept drinking water and it just went away. I was quite surprised by this.
Day 2: Woke up with quite a headache behind my eyes and found it hard to get out of bed. I felt a little dizzy. Again – I drank a litre of water upon rising and within 10 minutes felt quite good. I was amazed how much water my body needed rather than food. I probably drank 5-6 litres today and most of this while I was taking the Fast powder.
Day 3: The third morning was much better than the day before. I got out of bed much easier – like my body was in a rhythm now. Once again I was thirsty as hell, drank all day to keep my hunger away. I probably found this day the hardest – probably because I knew I was going to eat something at 8pm. The smell of food at the meditation centre drove me wild – I had to just walk out of the dining hall. At 8pm I arrived back home to find a nice hot bowl of vegetable soup from my beloved – my god it was GOOD! That first mouth full was delicious. I felt proud of myself that I had achieved my goal and completed the 3 day fast eating nothing but Miessence Fast.
5 Miessence Fast TIPS:
- If possible, do it away from home or at least somewhere where there is no TEMPTATION of eating. The smell of toast or fresh oven baked cookies can send you insane. Don’t put yourself through it!
- When hungry really guzzle the water – you’ll be amazed how those hunger signals really are just your body crying out for water.
- Really give the Miessence Fast mixture a good stir, as the lumpy powder bombs can be a bit to handle after a couple of days with no food.
- BE DETERMINED and stay focused! Commit to the 3 days and get the amazing health benefits your body deserves.
- Stay off the caffeine! As it says on the Miessence Fast label ‘Coffee and tea are not your friends during a fast’. Fasting can be quite challenging at times, and you really need to stack the odds in your favour if you are going to last the 3 days with absolutely no food at all.
I’ll be quite up front and say that completing a 3 day Miessence Fast isn’t for people who like to just make excuses. It’s for people who want real results and are willing to do what it takes to achieve a result. You have to be head strong and not willing to give into your desires. As I mentioned, I didn’t do the Miessence Fast to lose weight, I did it to try the product and give my body a good spring clean (like I also did on a 5 day juice fast on the Miessence Getaway in November last year). Giving my body a break from the constant onslaught of food helped heal my damaged cells, tissues and organs, and it eliminated toxins that have long been hanging around inside me. The result – I feel much lighter, clearer and more mentally focused. I’m feeling pretty good right now.
But for me as a by-product I did lose some weight.
Dropping from 70Kg to 66Kg at the end of Day 3!
And then to 65.1kg on Day 4!
